Patient Stories
OB/GYN In Los Angeles, CA
We feel fortunate to have received reflections from our patients about how Dr. Baggot has helped them. Here are some of our favorites:
My name is Yessenia Roman and my story begins in October 2008. When I found out I was pregnant at the age of 18 years old, I started going to a clinic close to my house. I was about 4 weeks pregnant, and I had a lot of pain and cramps. I called my doctor that was in charge of my pregnancy. I went and the doctor told me everything was fine, that it was normal for being my first pregnancy.
I was not happy with what the doctor told me. I wanted a second opinion. Someone gave me a flyer about a Dr. Paddy Jim Baggot, which I decided to visit the following day. First thing that Dr. Baggot did was an ultrasound making sure everything was fine with the baby after he checked the heartbeat. Dr. Baggot told me I was at risk of a miscarriage, and to rest. He gave me a prescription for progesterone, telling me those pills were going to help with the cramps and the bleeding.
I went straight to the pharmacy to get them. My cramps and the bleeding went away after 2 days. I noticed that he was a doctor who really paid close attention to his patients so I decided to keep having my appointments at his clinic, at the time on West Covina, California. He did an awesome job taking care of both of us during the whole pregnancy.
My due date was approaching. I was due by June 17. I visited his clinic on June 4 for my normal checkup. After doing an ultrasound and checking the heartbeat from my baby girl, Dr. Baggot called me in to his office. I was scared at first, thinking something is wrong! Dr. Baggot told me he had to induce the labor because I if I waited until my date, it was going to be a C-section and my best option was to get induced and try to have vaginal. I decided to get induced. My baby girl was born the following day. Once again, Dr. Baggot was giving his best attention to his patients.
One year later I was at his office with my second pregnancy. I did not have a doubt about having him as my OB/GYN again. So, we started again with progesterone and prenatal vitamins, but when I was 16 weeks I got a kidney infection. I visited one more time and Dr. Baggot sent me straight to emergency room. I was in for almost 1 week where he was monitoring and making sure everything was going the way he expected.
Once I got out Dr. Baggot put me on some strong vitamins for the whole pregnancy. Some months after, he moved his clinic to Los Angeles, California which was about 45 minutes away from where he used to have his clinic before. Family and friends were telling me to look for another doctor close by, but I decided to stay with him. Even if I had to travel more, I really appreciate all the work and love that he gives to all his patients. I had in mind that no other doctor would take care of me and my pregnancy as good as him.
By the time I was about have my second baby girl, Dr. Baggot noticed that my husband and I were not going through a good relationship. Dr. Baggot talked to my husband and I, giving us counseling about how to avoid separation and to work and make things better for the good of our kids, which my husband and I will forever appreciate from him.
One year and 4 months later I was at his office with my third pregnancy. And again I was hearing from family not to go all the way to Los Angeles, to look for some other doctor. But after seeing how much he cares and helps his patients, I did not doubt about staying with him. This time I was having strong bleeding and pain. Dr. Baggot put me once again on progesterone and the strong vitamins, which helped me and the baby boy to be healthy during the whole pregnancy. I also told Dr. Baggot I wanted to have surgery to not have any more babies, and he told me and my husband that he did not do the process. He gave us many reasons. He told me if you want to do it, you may want to change doctors because I don’t do it, and I don’t agree with who does it either. So I decided to go to birth control which it worked for me for some time.
I became pregnant from my fourth child and when I visited Dr. Baggot, he explained to me so many things about what happens when you use birth control, so he put me on strong vitamins and progesterone to help the baby grow healthy and smart, which I totally agree they do help with baby’s health and brain. I’m so glad he has taken the time to investigate and create those vitamins with his research because they had given me a healthy pregnancy and labor time.
For the fifth time I became pregnant and I went with him with no doubt because Dr. Baggot has shown so much caring to me as a patient. I wouldn’t trust any other doctor with my pregnancy, not after I have been seen and treated by Dr. Baggot, who I recommend every time I hear someone is having issues with their pregnancy or are trying to get pregnant. Dr. Baggot is the right doctor to be with. He will give as much options as he can. Thank you, Dr. Baggot, for taking care of all your patients as much as you can. Thank you so much.
I recently had my baby 6 weeks ago and Dr. Baggot was my OB through my pregnancy. I had a very rough pregnancy from early on due to high blood pressure. And starting at 20 weeks I had appointments and ultrasounds weekly.
My pregnancy wasn’t expected to go longer than about 30 weeks because of my preeclampsia. But with all the vitamins and supplements Dr. Baggot had me taking, my pregnancy went all the way to 39 weeks when I had my 9 lb. baby girl!
I also love the nurses at this clinic, they're so sweet and were so good at answering any questions I had and seemed to truly care about me and my baby’s well-being. Would definitely recommend to everyone!
Dr. Baggot delivered 3 of my kids. First one was vaginal delivery, super-fast recovery. Last 2 C-section. The surgery went so well and the scar is super small. You will get ultrasound on every visit. All my Korean friends say their doctors only do 3-5 ultrasounds throughout their whole pregnancy.
He will pick up and return your calls at any time. The staff are amazing. Nurse Patty is excellent. It’s important to choose a good doctor, especially because it’s for you and your baby. And I can proudly say Dr. Baggot is the right one! Thanks Doctor!
